Arthur Meulemans is one of the most prolific composers in Flemish music history of the 20th century. In these works he demonstrates a descriptive mastery alongside a brilliant technique and a colorful orchestration. Most of these works were composed for the NIR Radio Orchestra (now Flemish Radio Orchestra) when Meulemans was at the head of this orchestra in the 1930s.
